Our guesthouses are located in the small village of Saint-Christol-les-Alès, at the foot of the most beautiful natural park of France, the Cévennes (Department of the Gard, Languedoc-Roussillon). The domain covers an area of 4200 m². In the garden which leads out from the terraces, we have several fruit trees, which are used to make our homemade jam. The river "Alzon" passes by 50 meters from our property. Our lodgings are ideally suited for max. 6/8 persons, are all equipped with air conditioning and each has its own private entrance. They consist of a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet, and two or three bedrooms. Each gîte has a washing machine and/of a dishwasher. Each gîte has also a very large private terrace with French doors and a beautiful view on the hills of the Cévennes. The parking space on the domain is closed at night. The swimming pool with its terraces, sun loungers and parasols, can be used any time of the day. There is also a beautifull bar, where you can buy a delicious cocktail, a fresh beer, a soft drink or anything else. At very democratic prices, along with a nice chat. Les Jardins de Liny are located approximately one hour from sites such as the Roman "Pont du Gard" aqueduct, the Camargue and its pink flaments, the Ardèche, the Roman City of Nimes and its Arena. We are near to Avignon, Arles and to several caves such as the "Grottes de Trabuc", the "Grotte des Demoiselles" and the "Grotte de la Salamandre". The beaches of the Mediterranean (Le Grau du Roi, Aigues Mortes,...) are located at one hour drive. The "Parc National des Cévennes", established in 1971, is the only inhabited French national park. In 2011, the Cévennes and the Causses included by UNESCO on the World Heritage list as Mediterranean agro-pastoral cultural landscape. The environment is ideal for those seeking tranquillity and nature and is an ideal area for people who like walking and for both confirmed and starting cyclists. In collaboration with the "Maison de la Randonnée" we offer the possibility to participate on guided walks in the months of June, July, August and September. The Languedoc is the biggest wine region of France. In the neighbourhood you will find a wide range of very good white, red and rosé wines. Discover the region: many paths are marked for hiking and mountain biking, there is a golf course not far away, and you can visit caves, practice horse riding, fishing, archery, tennis, swimming, etc. etc. River, Arts and craft markets, pottery shops, wine cellars, a flea market and various museums can be visited in the area. For mechanical sports enthusiasts: there is even a circuit! Here you can really find anything for anyone! |
